Each year we are presented with a task that our robot will have to perform in competition. As a club we work together to design and build a robot to complete the challenge. Build season lasts 6 weeks at which point we "bag and tag" our robot which assures that all participating teams have the same amount of time to build. After build season, the group works on the programming which is done in "LabVIEW". From year to year we must decide what role our robot will play in the game whether it is specialized in scoring, playing defense, or assisting other alliance members.

The goal of First Robotics is to "...inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership."
